T hese instruments ompar ed to other solid sample dire t analy sis methods have many merits: easy presampling, samples qui k hanging ( only several minutes) , abili ty for mi rospa e analysis, spe trum w ith few interferen e and very low absolute determi nation limit ( 1015 g grade) . The best mass r esolutions of these tw o mass spe tr ometer s an a hieve 7 000 and 4 000 ( FWHM) r espe tively. T he impa ts of different sample introdu tion method and ion transmission system on instrument performan es w er e also analyzed omparatively in this arti le.
