ABSTRACT The Correlation between the Rat Model of Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis Induced by Bleomycin and Lung Qi-deficient Syndrome Objective To evaluate the feasibility of constructing the rat model of Lung Qi -deficient Syndrome which was based on interstitial pulmonary fibrosis induced by Bleomycin by observing the rats’ general symptom and physical sign, pathological change of lung tissue, immunological targets and the changes of these above-mentioned targets which were intervened by Bufeitang , and then penetratingly study the essence of Lung Qi-deficient Syndrome to guide the clinical care of interstitial pulmonary fibrosis. Methods Reproduce the rat models of pulmonary fibrosis by injecting Bleomycin endotracheally.96 healthy SD rats were randomly divided into four groups(n=24， each): normal control group, model group, prednisone group, Bufeitang group. The normal control group and model group were subjected to daily intragastric administration of NS(1ml/100g) ,while the prednisone group and Bufeitang group were given the liquid extract of Bufeitang (2.1g/200g) and the suspension of prednisone(6.3mg/kg) respectively. Every group was subdivided into three groups (n=8) which was killed in the 7th ,14th and 28 th day respectively. We observed the general symptom and physical sign and recording the weight of rats regularly , collecting the blood serum and lung tissue. The rats lung tissues section was staine
