Analysis These poems are well-known for their use of images. In the first one, the poet employs the images, “grasses”,“ setting sun”, and “swallows”, the rank grasses decorated the Bridge of Red with a tint of desolation, and the “setting sun” covered the forsaken Street of Mansions with a film of forlornness，specially, the “skimming swallows ”reveals the vicissitudes of human affairs.
