Science and technology think tank has distinct scientific and technical characteristics, which has played an important and unique role in promoting the development of science and technology, and enhancing national science and technology strategy planning and implementation capacity. Improving the scientific think tank information service capabilities and perfecting its service model, we can make collective wisdom to be better serve the scientific decision-making, and let scientific think tank playing a major role in economic and social services. Based on the analysis of the hardware and software elements of scientific think tank, the paper analyzes the four types of information resources demands of scientific think tank, and then summarizes the three kinds of information service model of scientific think tank in terms of service path, service characteristics and mechanism, this article means to provide some references for the construction and development of scientific think tank in China.
