Natural Properties of Aluminum * Aluminum is a light metal, and its compounds are very widespread in nature. The aluminum resource in the earths crust is only next to oxygen and silicon, occupying the third place. Among all the metal species, it is the second largest category of metal, only next to iron and steel. * Aluminum has special chemical and physical characteristics.
