The hybrid-HVDC transmission system is made up by LCC converter and VSC converter. The station topology and operating principle of hybrid HVDC are introduced here at first, then, a kind of control strategy for the system is analyzed then simulated and verified through the electro-magnetic ransient imulation software PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulation results show that the proposed hybrid HVDC transmission system has the advantages of the two kinds of HVDCs, and when faults like single-phase rounding and three-phase short circuit occur in the system, steady operation of the proposed hybrid HVDC can be rapidly restored. This kind of system can be applied to centralized power and distributed power, and has the capability of energy interconnection.
