Cooling Result Interpretation Key and Secondary Results Key results are the most important results to review when doing a cooling analysis in most cases. Secondary results are used to support the findings of the key results or to help understand a problem better. Many times, secondary results are not reviewed. Key Results Several results are key results to pay attention to Mold Surface Temperature (Plastic/Metal Interface) Temperature (top), part Temperature (bottom), part(midplane only) Definition, Cycle averaged temperature Temperature Difference, part Shows the difference in temperature between the top and bottom temperatures (midplane only) Temperature (Top), Part Parts rotated so the inside and bottom can be seen on Fusion Models Temperature (Top), Part Layers used to define inside, bottom plus others. Results are scaled automatically to visible layers only. Temperature Difference, Part Midplane results only Defined by Top minus Bottom temperature (refers to mesh orientation) Key Results Temperature Profile, part Shows temperature profile through the plastic at the end of the contact time Used to show the temperature difference between cavity and core on fusion models Screen Output file Summarizes the inputs and outputs from the analysis Gives an overall idea of the quality of the analysis Temperature Profile Useful for Fusion models to look at the difference across the thickness like temperature difference does for midplane models.
