The umerical results show that the restrai i g co ditio s (bou dary effects) of the subsea guide base a d H4 co ector, etc. have great i flue ces o the i tegrated stresses of the Xtree. It is stressed that the waterorie ted base a d H4 co ector should be specially desig ed to meet the requireme ts of the overall stre gth of the subsea tree by mi imizi g the bou dary effects o the Christmastree, a d the combi ed actio of the bou dary effects a d the exter al force o the subsea tree should be avoided. Mea while, i sulatio measures have to be take to reduce the thermal stresses of the subsea tree. Key words: christm
