TN-CEEDAR Project A partnership between Tennessee and the CEEDAR Center to bring together districts and educator preparation providers through a collaborative effort to develop and improve high-quality instruction and intervention that includes: General Education Special Education Educational Leadership The Tennessee Department of Education and the Collaboration for Effective Educator Development, Accountability and Reform (CEEDAR) are collaborating with educator preparation providers from the University of Memphis, the University of Tennessee- Knoxville, and Vanderbilt University to develop teachers and leaders who are well-prepared to help all Tennessee students graduate from high school college and career ready. Partnership Focus ? Focus on struggling learners and ? Alignment of teacher and leader students with disabilities preparation ? Professional learning ? Response to Instruction and ? Evidence-based teacher preparation Intervention (RTI2) ? High-leverage practices ? Preparation program improvement ? Effective communication and ? Collection and dissemination of high- coordination across relevant quality data to inform programming initiatives The TN-CEEDAR partnership leverages the power of existing initiatives to address goals in teacher certification, reform, leader preparation, and improvements in educator preparation practices. Executive Summary TN-CEEDAR Project TN-CEEDAR is an initiative charged with aligning statewide educational efforts to improve outcomes for students who are at-risk and students with disabilities.
