Maintain specialist knowledge in process optimization and chemical engineering (area of expertise). Integrate, apply and develop it in order to solve problems in projects and assignments 2. Stay abreast of new developments in the area of expertise and advise on applicability in business group processes 3. Propose and evaluate new ideas and support the initiation of RD proposals and projects in order to contribute to innovations and new concepts in the area of expertise 4. Execute the agreed research programs / experiments, evaluate it and report the results. Plan and organize execution of research activities in the field of responsibility aligned with Competence Manager 5. Participate in assigned RD project(s), in which the specific area of expertise has to be applied 6. Support and contribute registration and patent filing in the field of expertise 7. Establish and maintain an internal and external network in the area of expertise 8.
