Analysis of the students Students of Grade 2 in senior high school have a good knowledge of Chinese poems, especially Tang poems . They are eager to do something new ,and they have the ability to do it if given chances. In order to develop their interest in English poems and improve their English, we mainly talk about different kinds of poems and enjoy the poems. In class, I will let the students talk about the topic and encourage them to recite their favorite poems. Analysis of the teaching material This is the first teaching period of this unit. The central part of this period is the reading passage with the name of ‘A Few Simple Forms of English Poems’ showing the students a few kinds of simple English poems. On teaching methods: “Tell me, I will forget. Teach me, I will remember. Involve me, I will learn.” --- Franklin Teaching methods Task-based Student-centered How many poets do you know?
