Web Graphical User Interface Changes LAN Settings The Modem’s Web Interface contains two new options – IP Filtering MAC Translator. Configuration of these options is not required. IP Filtering – Used to setup remote management access to the modem via Telnet or Web GUI. When this table is empty the default action is to block all access from the WAN port. Unless authorized by your ISP it is not recommended that you configure this option. MAC Translator – This table creates a binding between an existing bridge PVC and the Client’s Network Card’s MAC address. Once configured, only the Ethernet frames belonging to the Source Mac Address in the table are forwarded to this PVC. When the table is empty the default action is to forward all Ethernet frames to all available PVC(s). Unless authorized by your ISP it is not recommended that you configure this option. NAPT – Generic Routing Encapsulation GRE has been added to support PPTP pass-through.
