Program Overview Charles Freeman holds the CSIS Freeman Chair in China Studies. Whether serving in government or working in the business, legal and the non-profit worlds Charles Freeman has always exhibited a commitment to excellence and integrity, said CSIS President and CEO John J. Hamre.? I am delighted to welcome Charles to CSIS and thrilled to have such a proven and thoughtful leader take over our China Studies Chair.
