Funded by EDGE, CityU PI: Li, Jessica Chi-mei (SS) Period: January 2011- December 2011 TDG Project No. 6000317 PI: Dr Jessica Li (SS) TDG Project No. 6000317 PI: Dr Jessica Li (SS) This is the third phase of the TDG-funded project “Crime Issue”, first implemented in 2008. Similar to the first (2008-09) and second (2009-10) phases, the project’s third phase will cover a wide range of teaching and learning activities inside and outside the classroom, such as field visits, guest seminars, editorial work of a newsletter and a forum. As an improvement of the previous phases, participants of the new project will take a more active role in conveying the crime prevention message to the community. Participants will team up in collaboration with the police crime prevention unit to educate different vulnerable groups in community (e.g. elderly, juvenile delinquents as well as sex workers) about situational crime prevention techniques. Other than CityU students, community residents will also benefit from the proposed project.
