It combines different engineering disciplines like chemical engineering, chemical technology, petrochemical technology, biochemical engineering, applied chemistry, and industrial catalysis. The subject of Chemical Engineering and Technology in our university was entitled a discipline to authorize masters degree in 2005, a doctoral station in 2008, and a discipline to authorize doctors degree in 2010. The sub-discipline, chemical engineering, is among the first that Mount Tai scholars was set up in Shandong Province; Clean Chemical Engineering Lab is the key laboratory of Shandong Province. Ecological chemical laboratory became the Ministry of Education’s key laboratory in 2008, and was entitled the Nation’s Key Laboratory Breeding Base in 2010. Chemical Engineering and Technology is the first-class national specialty, and chemical process experiment center is the national experimental teaching demonstration center.
