The angle / perspective from which the story is told. Kinds of Point of View 3rd Person Omniscient 3rd Person Limited Omniscient 3rd Person Objective or Dramatic First person third person(narrator as non-participant) 1. Narrator outside the event describes the events. 2. Pronouns: he, she, him, her, they, them, etc. 3rd Person Omniscient 1.The narrator is not a character in the story but can tell you the thoughts and actions of all characters at all times. 2.An “all-knowing” narrator firmly imposes his presence between the reader and the story, and retains complete control over the narrative. 3.Advantage: ?direct the reader’s attention ?control the sources of information. 3rd Person Limited Omniscient Limited omniscient point of view is limited to one major figure, typically the protagonist. 3rd Person Objective or Dramatic 1.The narrator disappears completely and the story is allowed to present itself dramatically through action and dialogue. 2. Advantage With the disappearance of the narrator, telling is replaced by showing, and the illusion is created that the reader is a direct and immediately witness to an unfolding drama. First person(Narrator as Participant)  The narrator tells the story as something personally experienced, I speak of my adventures and thoughts.
