I would like to thank all of you for coming to the Chinese Embassy to share this exciting moment with us. 英国是世博会的故乡。1851年，伦敦万国工业产品博览会在水晶宫举办，这是人类历史上第一届世博会。 Britain is home of the World Exposition. In 1851, The Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations was held in the Crystal Palace – and was the first ever World Expo. 中国参与了本次世博会，并留下了深刻的历史印记。英国画家塞鲁斯在博览会开幕式油画中，描绘了一位中国商人；《伦敦新闻画报》制作的长达7米的世博会全景画，描绘了东道主布置的中国展室； Chinas participation in the Great Exhibition was a big success.
