Type: New Lesson (the first period)
I. Material analysis
This lesson is a Listening and Speaking Course. It’s about some weekend activities and the adverbs of frequency.
II. Teaching aims :
1. Knowledge aims
(1)Learn new words and phrases: housework, hardly ever, help with housework.
(2)Learn and summarize the usage of the adverbs of frequency.
(3)Master the sentence patterns as following:
a. What do you usually do on weekends ?
b. I usually…
2. Skill aims
(1)Learn to talk about weekend activities with frequency words.
(2) Develop students’ abilities of listening and speaking.
3. Emotional aims
Guide students to have healthy habits and enjoy weekend activities.
