It is helpful to understand one’s personal values, career aspirations, strengths/weaknesses etc., when thinking about career development. 个人此生要的是什么,了解个人的价值观,事业发展目标,长处及短处。 2) Similarly, for a business organization to develop, it must be clear about its mission and what it takes to achieve the mission. One major factor is having the right competent employees. DuPont focuses on 5 criteria to guide and develop its employees to be effective contributors to its growth. 企业发展,必须清楚的了解自己的使命是什么,如何实现使命。其中一个重要的因素就是要靠有能力的员工。5项基本原则就是指导和培养员工。 3) The 5 criteria and the associated 23 dimensions provide DuPonters some direction for planning career development activities. 五项成功因素构成员工发展的基础,这5项因素进而演绎成了23项发展范围。 4) A process called Targeted Development has evolved to help DuPont and DuPonters manage development effectively. It focuses on the 5 criteria and 23 dimensions. I say “evolve”because it is an enhancement of our development processes. 5) TD also evolved based on employees need for a more defined development process. Research has also shown that organizations and employees do benefit from more clarity on what qualities need to be gained in todays work world, particularly with the trend towards individual ownership for career development.
