One unique quality, which distinguishes me from the majority of MBA applicants, is my background of environmental protection. I have joined many efforst, such as dust emission reduction and municipal waste incineration. These projects allowed me to get a sense of the trend towards sustainable development in the new business age. Working as a volunteer environmental news host for the “Friends Of Nature” web site (), China’s first non-government environmental organization, I gained even more knowledge in environment and ecology matters. My persistence in detailed volunteer work, and my suggestion to increase the interactivity of the web site have helped to make it an active window to the public. Environmental concerns have begun to share center stage with other business concerns as a major focal point for the government, industry, and the public. With my background I could contribute to other Marshall students for a further understanding of the environmental challenges we are facing in the vew century, and the business opportunities these challenges present. By sharing my knowledge and opinions during class discussions, and hopefully establishing an Environmental Club at Marshall, I desire to bring further foresigthed consideration of how to integrate environmental decision making into business to yield puofitable results. My outstanding communication skills will also allow my entrepreneurial background to truly enrich the learning environment at Marshall, and enhance the experience of fellow MBA student
