Each group had five replicates. The expermi ent lasted for 6 w eeks. A t 42 d and 63 d of age, average daily gain, feed/gainw ere detected. The breast and legmuscle samp lesw ere collected to detect the pH values and w ater holding capacity, asw ell as the content of gly cogen, the activity of lactic acid dehydrogenase ( LDH ) and succinic acid dehydrogenase ( SDH ) in th igh muscle.
