J Clin Res M ar V ol HB HB M RI V HL von HippelLindau s disease V HL HB M RI V HL Clinical Characteristics of Posterior Fossa Hemangioblastoma a Report of Cases L I M ing L IA N G Chong DI N G Y i et al Dep artment of N euros urge ry No Hosp ital of PLA Nan in China j g Abstract ObjectiveT o ex plore the diagnosis and treatment of posterior fossa hemangioblastoma HB M ethodsT he clinical data w ere retrospectively analyzed for HB cases betw een January and January at our hospital All cases w ere ex amined w ith magnetic resonance imaging M RI Both solid n and cy stic n masses w ere visualized A nd there w ere cases of von HippelLindau V HL disease All cy stic tumors w ere completely resected And solid masses w ere completely and subtotally n n resected w hile residual tumor w as treated by gamma knife ResultsNervous sy stem symptoms of all cy stic tumors significantly improved postoperatively Among solid masses the symptom of cases w ith complete resection achieved partial remission postoperatively Ventriculo eritoneal shunt w as performed in one case p w ith subtotal resection due to unresolved hydrocephalus ConclusionT he diagnosis of HB is dependent mostly upon M RI examination
