Them icrostructure and mechan-i 3 4 calproperties of the ceram icswere analyzed and discussed. SEM m icrographs showed that them icrostructure consists of equiaxed grains. T iC N formed due to the reaction ofT iCw ith SiN during the liquid phase sintering. The results of 0. 7 0. 3 3 4 mechanicalproperties indicated that the addition of aproper amount ofT iC powders could mi prove the flexural strength and fracture toughness.
