The authors introduced the developm ent history of cloud com puting and its application situation; com pared existing definitions of cloud com puting and gave a new defin ition; took googles cloud computing techn iques as an examp le, summ ed up key techn iques, such as data storage technology (Google ile System), data m anagem ent technology (BigTable), as well as programm ing m odel and task schedu ling m odel(M apReduce), used in cloud com puting; and analyzed the d ifferences among cloud compu ting, grid com puting and traditional supercomputing, and fingered out the broad developm ent prospects of cloud com puting.
