Site Path 4 houses by Lugi Snozzi The house in situated on a sleep slop above the wide plains of Magadino.between a zone of vacation homes and a wood.The edifice reinterprets the square plan typology of the antique rustic houses of the zone.which have been demolished. After the entrance wall which leads to the antrance.at the basement level,organised round the higher central living room area.A long terrace begins at the living room anf ends with a pergola locatede above the entrance gate,from which one enjoys a view of the entire lacustrine landscape of the city of lLocarno. Site 场地 The house is located below the village of Carona,on a steep slope above and a level area below. The positioning of the house in parallel with the grade creates a rapport between the two parts of the terrain. Arriving from the parking area,one first sees the house from above,then desaending a long flight of steps cut diagonally into the slope.The entrance appears as a simple hole,dug into the opaque volume of exposed concrete.One enters the hall,walking around an opening which is closed toward the valley and open toward the slope with a continous narrow horizontal window.Upon reaching the lower level,the visiter hase a completely different impression:at the end of the flight of stairs there is a view of the landscape,framed by a pergola positinmed as an extention of the space of the swimming pool. The house is located in the hilla sbove the city of Lacarno.An initial design (for a tower house) markedthe key point of thise property,at the border between the rugged,rocky woodwd zone and the terraces of the ariginal vineyards.A last-minate change in biulding regulations made it impossible to construct this progect,due to a question of height.
