The veh icle subsystemsw ere modeled using the rigidbody dynam ics method, the structure subsystem sw ere modeled w ith the modal superposition m ethod. The longitudina,l lateral and vertical wheelrail interacting forces w ere defined w ith the given brak ing acceleration tmi eh istory, the smi p lified Kalker creep theory and the w heelrail osculation assumption, respectively. The equations ofmotion of the system w ere solved using the tmi eh istory integralmethod and the forcemotion state iterations w ith in tmi e steps. As a case study, the dynam ic responses of the veh iclestructure coupled system for Shenzhen N orth Station under brak ings ofM etro L ine 4 and L ine 6 trainsw ere computed, and the vibration properties of some key structural parts of the station bu ilding w ere analyzed and evaluated.
