Medicinal Plant 2012 ，3 (2):45 － 47 Chemical Composition of Natural Medicine Determinat io n o n t he Main Chemical Co mpo nents and A nt ibacterial Act iv it ies of Vo lat ile Oil f ro m Datura s tramoni um L ． J IN Zhen-guo 1* ，J I Yu-liang2 ，YAO Huan-y ing3 ，LI Dan-q ing 1 ，CHEN Feng -y ing 1 1． Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering ，Shangluo University ，Shangluo ，Shaanxi 726000 ，China ;2 ． Department of Biomedical Engineering ，Shangluo University ，Shangluo ，Shaanxi 726000 ，China ;3 ． College of Chemistry and Life Science ，Shangluo ，Shaanxi 714000 ， China Abst ract ［Objective］To determine the main chemical components and antibacterial activities of volatile oil from Datura stramonium L． ［Method］ Volatile oil was extracted from Datura stramonium L． by steam distillation． Chemical components of volatile oil were analyzed by GC-MS． Alternaria alternate，Botryosphae riadothidea，Rhizoctonia solani Kühn，Fusarium solani (Mart ． )，and Fusarium avenaceum were taken as the target bacteria to carry out in vitro antibacterial activity test ． ［Result］Ten components were detected ，which accounted for 92 ． 66% of the total volatile oil． In the volatile oil of Datura stramonium L． ，content of 5 ，6-dihydro-6-pentyl-2 H-pyran-2-one was the highest ，accounting for 44 ． 28% ． Volatile oil from Da- tura stramonium L． had different inhibitory effects on 5 plant pathogens ，which were in the order of Botryosphae riadothidea ＞ Fusarium avenaceum ＞ Fusarium solani (Mart ． )＞ Rhizoctonia solani Kühn ＞ Alternaria alternate． ［Conclusion］This method was simple and rapid ，and could be used for the determination of main chemical components and antibacterial activities of volatile oil from Datura stramonium L． Key wo rds Datura stramonium L． ，Volatile oil，Chemical components ，Antibacterial activity ，China
