Som e techn ical aspects are illustrated in the paper, covering the singlechip processor and its periphery line, the types of the sensors, the signal transm itting and the pow er sourcem anagem en t asw ell. The design of the sofwt are on data acqu isition by the upper and the lower un it is also introduced in the paper. The system can mi p lem ent any clock settingsw ithin 24 hours, can ach ieve unattended modew ith low er operating costs, canwork in valley electric pe riod than the peak, and can realize autom atic control ofw ater level, wh ich is proved to be costeffective in water and elec tricity, efficien t and safe in operation.
