The movement contrails of the mixer heads were founded. T he critical angular velocity of partially circular motion was deduced for both single grain and a group of grains. T he results showed that the angular velocity was relevant to performance pa rameter of granular material and filling ratio. T he effects of grain s motion style including rolling and axial movements on mixing were discussed. It was found that the motion style, filling style and mix ing behavior were closely tied.
