humans,scientistsuseanimalstotestthesafetyandeffectiveness
ofnewlydevelopeddrugsbeforepilottestingonsmallgroupsof
patients.Medicalteamspracticenewoperatingtechniquessuchas
transplantsonanimals.Withoutanimaltesting,manyproceduresor
newdrugswouldbeextremelyunsafe.
However,manypeopleareconcernedthatanimalsaresuffering
unnecessarilyandcruelly.Theydonotbelievethateverynewdrug
