Installation Checklist for SunCluster 3.1 Systems Customer : Sun Order Number : CASE Number: Technician: Version EIS-DVD: Date: • It is assumed that the installation is carried out with the help of the current EIS-DVD. • The idea behind this checklist is to help the installer achieve a good Installation. • It is assumed that the installer has attended the appropriate training classes. • It is not intended that this checklist be handed over to the customer. • This installation checklist for SunCluster is to be used together with the installation checklist(s) for Sun Fire Server, workgroup server, storage etc.. • This checklist is for Sun Cluster 3.1 8/05 Update4 in combination with Solaris 8 2/02 1 (or higher), Solaris 9 or Solaris 10 . The Sun Cluster 3.1 8/05 Update4 is the first version which supports Solaris 10. This checklist does NOT cover Sun Cluster 3.1 9/04 Update3 or earlier versions. • For x86 platform this checklist also covers Sun Cluster 3.1 8/05 Update4 for Solaris 10 1/06 x86 and higher. NO other release for Solaris x86 are covered! For supported configurations please refer to the official configuration Guide for Sun Cluster. • If this cluster is to be installed as part of a Geo-Cluster, refer also to the EIS installation checklist for Sun Cluster Geographic Edition 08/05. • The installation must have been prepared using WINGS (Workflow Information Gathering System).
