一、课程性质与教学目标

课程性质：本课程是英语(中外合作，商务方向)专业一年级学生的必修课程，是该专业的学科基础课程。

教学目标：本课程主要为学生提供了内容丰富、题材广泛、原汁原味的商务英语文章，通过阅读、观察、分析、归纳，扩大学生商务英语词汇，提高学生对国外期刊的阅读速度，增强学生的分析表达能力，从而进一步培养学生的语言技能、商务知识和跨文化知识，为语言和专业打下良好的基础，更好地帮助学生适应国际商务英语环境，切实提高应用商务英语的能力，使学生成为能够在商务、经贸、外事、新闻、文化、教学、旅游等企事业单位从事商务、管理、谈判、翻译等工作的高级英语应用性人才。
