Abstract:ThisstudyexploredthegendersimilaritiesanddifferencesinEnglishlearningstrategiesamongjuniorhighschoolstudents,andcollectedtheirEnglishlearninginformationandstrategiesthroughaquestionnairesurvey.ThesurveyfoundthatthegirlsshowedgoodoverallperformanceinEnglishlearning,especiallyinsolvingEnglishlearningproblemsandclassroomperformance.Theresultssuggestthatstudentsshouldestablishacorrectawarenessofgenderdifferences,usegenderadvantagetolearnEnglish,andfindsuitablelearningmethodsforthemselves.Forteachers,weshouldcreateanequalteachingenvironmentbetweenmenandwomen,providepersonalizedlearningsupport,andbemoretargetedtomeetthelearningneedsofdifferentstudents.

Withthedeepeningofglobalization,Englishhasbecomeincreasinglyimportantasaninternationallanguage,especiallyinthefieldofeducation.Forjuniorhighschoolstudents,Englishlearningisnotonlythekeytoenhancepersonalcompetitiveness,butalsoanecessaryskilltoparticipateininternationalcommunicationandcompetitioninthefuture.Theroleofgenderdifferencesinlanguagelearninghasbeenatopicofgreatconcern.AccordingtoastudybytheAmericanEducationalResearchAssociation(AERA),genderdifferencesshowsignificantdifferencesinthechoiceandapplicationoflanguagelearningstrategies,whichcanaffectstudentsmotivationandlearningoutcomes.AsurveyofmiddleschoolstudentsinChinafoundthatgirlsaremorelikelytousecooperativelearningandmemorizationstrategiesinEnglishlearning,whileboyspreferindependentlearningandproblem-solvingstrategies.Thisdi
