E14957 Motherboard Technical Updates This is an information update for the user guide that comes with your motherboard package. ® Installing the Intel 9260 Wi-Fi driver on Windows 10 RS5 Due to limitations in the Intel 9260 Wi-Fi driver, your system may become unstable after updating your operating system to Windows® 10 RS5 or later. Please follow the steps below ® to install the Intel Wi-Fi driver on Windows 10 RS5 or later: 1. Enter the BIOS Setup during POST. 2. Go to Advanced Onboard Devices Configuration Wi-Fi 802.11ac Controller, then set the item to [Disabled]. The screenshot is for reference purposes only, and may not exactly match what you see on your screen. 3. Save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup. 4. Boot into your Windows® OS. ® ® 5. Install or update your Windows OS to Windows 10 RS5 or later. 6. Place the Support DVD into the optical drive. 7. Browse the contents of the Support DVD. 8. Under Drivers BT_WiFi WIFI, double-click AsusSetup.exe to run the installation. 9. Reboot your system and enter the BIOS Setup during POST again. 10. Go to Advanced Onboard Devices Configuration Wi-Fi 802.11ac Controller, then set the item to [Enabled]. 11. Save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup. ® OS to complete the installation. 12.
