The role of modern service industry is more and more obvious indeveloping of world economy. The rapid development of modern service industryimproves internal structure of service industry， drives development of relatedindustries， promotes economic development of countries， regio or cities， improvestheir compreheive competitiveness. With rapid development of modern serviceindustry， its positive effects on economic growth not only has caused the greatattention of national government agencies department， but also attracted wideattention of schola. It became a focus of attention and research from all secto ofsociety。 In this paper， the modern service industry of Zhenjiang is the research object。 Fitly， the definition of service industry and modern service industry connotationand classification， analysis the influence facto of the modern service industry。 Secondly， from the modern service industry increase value， industrial structure，employment structure and each internal sector of location advantage four aspects， itanalyzes current situation of modern service industry of Zhenjiang.
