Unit6 I’m watching TV教学设计(第一课时) 王文中学李春玲 教学目标: 1. Teach vocabulary words. 2. Target languages: What are you doing? I’m watching TV. What’s he/ she doing? He’s/ She’s reading. Is he / she writing? Yes, he is. No, he isn’t. 3、Enable the students learn how to talk about what people are doing. 重点难点: 1. The use of present progressive tense. Yes/ No questions and short answers. 2. The pronunciation of doing and learn to talk about what people are doing 教学过程: 一.课堂热身与启动(warming up activities) Free talk What is your name? I’m… What color do you like? I like…. What sports do you like? I like ……. What do you want to be? I want to be a / an ……. 二.导入(leading in) Listen to a song: Are you sleeping? Then ask students the questions: What is Brother Bear doing?/What is Little John doing? Let students compare these sentences to those sentences that we learned before. Lead in our new lesson: I’m watching TV. 三.前任务阶段(pre-task) First ask the students to ask and answer in groups: What are you doing? I’m …… Each student uses a different verb Second show some activities and talk about what people are doing. What’s he doing? He’s reading. What’s she doing? She’s talking on the phone. What are they doing? They’re cleaning. 四.任务中(while-task) 1. 1a First the students read these v-ing words after the teacher. Match the words and the activities. Then help the students do “ Ask and answer “ practice in pairs: What are you doing? I’m talking on the phone. 2 .Ask students to make conversations using the pictures. Then ask them to find the sentences’ rules, point at the importances: The use of present progressive tense. Yes/ No questions and short answers. The rules of verb -- ving. 3. Give the students five minutes to remember these importances. List some words, ask students to divide these words into their teams. 五、任务后展示(post-task) 1.
