Unit 8 Surprise endings Period Six 教学目标 1.Enable the students to master the new words: note and album. 2.Enable the students to write an outline for a writing. 3.Enable the students to practice the writing ability. 教学重点 Enable the students to know how to tell ideas about receiving the best gift. 教学难点 When writing the passage, students should know how to make an outline. 教学环节 教学过程 学生主体活动 教师活动 设计意图 引入课题 1.Reading 1.Talk about the photo album: I have one. I usually put… in the album and write notes about it under them. 1.Show the pictures of my most valuable album to them and read the passages for them. 1.Arouse the Ss’ interest and bring them to try to describe the album. 传授新知 2.Discussion 2.Read the passage and work in groups to fill the blanks: paragraph idea question 1 … What/ who 2 … what 3 4 … When why Where/ 3.Help them to tell their own gift and try to finish a similar chart as the above: passage items Your gifts 1 What/ who 2 What 3 4 Why/ when Where/how 2.Invite them to find the outline of the passage in the sample. 3.Present the sample for them to talk about your own best gift. 2.Train their ability to find an outline to get ready for the writing and train their ability to cooperate. 3.Help them do some preparation for the writing as well as cultivate their ability of creating and summarizing. 课堂练习 3.Writing 4.Write a passage according to their preparation. 4.Remind students to pay attention to their handwriting. And encourage them to check with each other after writing. 4.Train the students writing ability. 课时小结 4.Sum up Checking and show time 5.Check the writing with each other. And show a better one to the class. 5.Help them to check the writing according to the handwriting and the words and the grammar. List the beautiful sentences they wrote in the passages. 5.Let them get familiar with the writing. 作业布置 Recite the passage which is given as a sample and finish the exercises in the workbook.
