It is the intent of this publication to: Establish uniform supplier shipping and delivery performance requirements among all GM production, component, and service part facilities. And Ensure consistent communication of supplier shipping and delivery requirements to all General Motors production and service part suppliers. This publication describes in detail actions a supplier must take to meet General Motors performance requirements in the areas of: Plant Capacity Customer Schedules Shipping Data Transfer These requirements reflect General Motors commitment to the continuous improvement of product delivery. The identification and communication of uniform shipping and delivery requirements is an on-going initiative designed to support a mutually managed relationship between General Motors and its suppliers.
