Methods: The pressure ulcer risk assessment consultation form was used to assess surgical patients before operation, and interventions would be given to them accordingly when settling down their surgical position. Results: Among 236 patients at high risk of pressure ulcers, 220 patients did not suffer pressure ulcers; only 16 cases get inevitable pressure ulcers after operation. Conclusion: The pressure ulcer risk assessment consultation could effectively reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers due to improper postural placement.
