This paper summarizes the research results of ethnic community tourism at home and abroad, analyzes livelihood transition, development pattern, spatial structure, perception and host-guest relationship, authenticity, tour- ism empowerment and resilience from the perspectives of the concept connotation, research history and main contents. This paper also analyzes the differences in research objects, time, fields, contents and methods, the theoretical framework of ethnic community tourism research both in China.
