awaitfurtherscientificinvestigationsBasedonthecrossfieldresearchmethodsofenvironmentalmineralogy,semiconductingphysics
andphotoelectronchemistry,thisstudyrevealedaferromanganese“mineralmembrane”widelydevelopedonrockandsoilsurfacesand
directlyexposedundersunlight,insuchvarioustypicalterrestrialenvironmentsasGobidesert,karstregionsandredsoilsareasThis
“mineralmembrane”isusuallyofseveraltensofnanometertohundredsofmicrometerinthicknessThefinestructuralcharacteristics
oftheMnoxidesin“mineralmembrane”wereinvestigated,andtheprevalentexistenceoflayeredtypebirnessitewasprovedBesides,
therareearthelementCewasfoundtobestructurallycorrelatedwithbirnessitein“mineralmembrane”,whichcouldpromoteits
semiconductingfunctionThe“mineralmembrane”isalwaysdevelopedonthesurfacesidesofrocksratherthanthereversesides,
indicatingadirectcorrespondencewithsunlightexposureAsrevealedbyphotoelectronchemistryexperiments,electrodesmadeof
natural“mineralmembrane”powderscouldgenerateremarkablephotocurrentsunderilluminationofvisiblelight,whereastherock
substratesandquartzandfeldsparminerals
