One of the important reasons that cause increasingly serious employment situation is graduates’ too high employment expectations. Therefore, take a research on employment expectations of university graduates and their employment effect has very important significance to ease employment difficulty of university graduates. On the basis of researching literatures about graduates’ employment expectations both at home and abroad, through research methods of questionnaire investigation and measurement method of combining the analysis model, this paper give a profound HYPERLINK /analysis/ analysis of nowadays university graduates’ employment expectations and their effects to employment and put forward corresponding suggestions and measures to ease employment difficulty of university graduates. Employment expectations are estimates and projections of graduates about their prospects, which reflect the graduates’ awareness about themselves, the job market, human capital investment and return to education. The graduates expectations fall into four parts: earnings expectations, cost expectations, employment area expectations and employment unit expectations. Employment expectations of university graduates are affected by themselves, education, family and social environment and other factors. Employment expectations of boys are higher than girls. Graduates of top universities and popular majors have higher employment expectations than graduates of local universities and not-popular majors. Family area also has significant fluency on graduates’ employment expectations. Graduates who come from both rural and urban look forward to the choice of the region mainly concentrated in developed areas and big cities. Graduates’ employment expectations are affected by their parents’ professional situation, social status, economic status and the thinking
