Its security of the whole water diversion, drainage system, and even the safety of the dam plays an important role. Thus intake tower (especially large intake tower) under dynamic load safety study is very necessary. Indicated by the structure arrangement, complex intake tower shape, cross section change parts, more complex loading, and boundary conditions are very complicated, the traditional shape complex structure mechanics calculation method is difficult to reflect the intake tower, the section stiffness mutation, change and its foundation, water around factors effect the performance of the structure, so the finite element method to the intake tower structure calculation under the earthquake is very necessary. Stability of intake tower is related to the drainage buildings and the safety of the hub, and to analyze the global stability of the intake tower and research is very necessary. In this paper, considering the tower body and foundation under seismic action on the basis of the dynamic interaction of the two farming vibration input mode, namely massless foundation uniform input and considering the effect of radiation damping viscoelastic artificial boundary input mode. At the same time considering the tower body and foundation interface between dynamic nonlinear effect, four kinds of finite element model is established, respectively, on the seismic time history response analysis.
