II II Abstract Buddhism is an important sect of China. Since ancient times, religion and tourism has been intimately linked together. In the Song dynasty, the feudal economic developed into a new peak. Developed economic, social and political environment relative stability, which provides the convenience for The Song dynasty tourism development. During this period, the rulers mostly admired Buddha and execute Buddhism policy. The Buddhist temple developed into a large number and prosperity. Buddhism also has a further development, which inject new vitality into tourism. As a connecting carrier of Buddhism and tourism, Buddhist temples have a far-reaching influence on the tourism. On the other hand, the development of tourism inevitably influence to the development of the Buddhist temples in the Song dynasty. Therefore, under the condition of in developed social economy and a stable political situation and open Buddhist policies, the song dynasty tourism shows characteristics of combining with Buddhist temple. This thesis are wrote according to historical facts, regarding ancient documents as the basis. This paper discussed the situation of Buddhist temples development and tourism development situation before Song dynasty. Under the precondition of Buddhist temple and tourism development in Song dynasty, this thesis described the relationship between Buddhist temple and tourism in Song dynasty in detail. The main content not only involves in development survey, Buddhist temple tourist development survey and the Buddhist temples tourist awake, but also infers to interaction between Buddhist temple and tourism .From the affect of this five big aspect, this thesis attempts to summarize the basic characteristics of the Buddhist temple and the tourism in song dynasty. Furthermore, this thesis also attempts to conclude the reasons for the rise of Buddhist temple tourist in Song dynasty.
