Sales Meetings A sales meeting is a talk between two or more parties. One party usually has a product or service to sell to the other parties attending. Sales meetings can take place within the confines of a business or at an off-site location. The benefit of having an off-site business meeting is the potential buyer is in a more relaxed setting, such as a restaurant, and less likely to be surrounded by reminders of the business and the costs of engaging in business with the salesperson. Attire in a sales meeting is a factor, with the salesperson usually dressing in a competent manner, adjusting the attire to fit the region. For example, a salesperson conducting a business meeting in an executive location dresses differently than one attending a meeting in a warehouse setting. Team Meetings Team meetings involve business members assigned to a project, who meet on a regular basis to discuss the progress of the project. In addition to team members, management often sits in on the meeting, keeping abreast of project progress. Staff Meetings Staff meetings are similar to team meetings, with one important difference. All staff personnel usually attend these meetings. These can be weekly, monthly or on an “as needed” basis.
