Students learn the functions of the parts of a microscope. Students learn how to adjust the light and how to focus the microscope. Students develop the concept of a field of view. The first person to make and use a lot of microscopes was a Dutchman named Anton Leeuwenhoek. Leeuwenhoek lived in the 1600s in the Netherlands, and he owned a store full of cloth and pincushions for sale.
