Interestingly EETs share many of the same properties of NO in this respect. So one might argue that EET/EDHF is a better antiatherosclerotic agent than NO because it is not inhibited by superoxide and disease states as easily as is NO. This hypothesis has indirect support from two different observations. * * It is important to know that the significance of NO release from the endothelium is much less likely its dilator effects as it is the antiatherosclerotic effects of NO. Interestingly EETs share many of the same properties of NO in this respect.
