ABSTRACTAsthedevelopmenttrendofthenextgenerationbroadbandwirelesscommunicationtechnologies,broadbandwirelessMetropolitanAreaNetwork(IEEE802.16standard)offershigherspeed,largercoverage,andlowercostthantraditionalwirelessaccesstechnologies.WirelessMeshNetwork(WMN)isakindofmultipoint-to-multipointwirelessmultihopnetworkswithgreatcapacityandhighspeed.InWMN,everynodeiscapableofroutingandonlycommunicateswithitsneighbors.WMNhasmanyadvantages,suchasstrongstability,largethroughputandeasyexpandingovertraditionalpoint-to-multipoin(PMP).Collisionavoidancemechanism,routingconstructingandschedulingmechanisminIEEE802.16MeshModebecometheimportantresearchsubjects.Theproblemsolvedbyschedulingmechanismmainlyisbandwidthresourceallocationinwirelessnetworks.InthebasisofanalyzingIEEE802.16WirelessMeshNetwork,thethesismainlystudiestwodifferentschedulingmechanismofIEEE802.16MeshModeincludingcentralizedschedulinganddistributedscheduling.Atlast,thethesisproposesthenewresourceschedulingprogramsbasedondifferentschedulingmechanism.Accordingtocentralizedscheduling,wefirstanalyzeavarietyofroutingconstructingalgorithms,andthen,proposeaunitedroutingalgorithmbasedonmini-hopsandmini-collision.Intermsofresourceschedulingalgorithm,weadoptanadvancedconcurrenttransmissionschedulingalgorithmbasedoncollisionavoidance.Thenewcentralizedresourceschedulingprogramiscomposedoftwoalgorithmsabove.Finally,wesetupsimulationplatforminordertoassesstheperformanceoftheprogram.Theresearchresultsshowthat,thenetworkthroughputisimprovedusingourprogram.Accordingtodistributedscheduling,wefirstintroducetheschedulingprocessofminislotsinthedatesub-frame,andthen,proposeanadaptiveslotallocationalgorithmbasedonQoSguaranteethroughimprovingasimpledatachannelslotallocationalgorithm.Thesimulationresultsshowthat,takingintoaccountboththerequestfailurerateandtheslotutilizationrate,thealgorithmnotonlyprovidesQoSguaranteeforreal-timebusinessbutalsoreducestheaveragepacketdelay,therebyincreasingnetworkthroughput.Keywords：IEEE802.16standard,Wir
