Since establishment of diplomaticrelationship in 1992，China and Kazakhstan have expanded their economic cooperation，and the trade between the two countries has witnessed rapid development. The leaders of the two countries have frequently exchanged visits，which resulted in mutual political trust being continuously strengthened. In 2005，China and Kazakhstan declared to establish the strategic partnership， which ensured the direction of bilateral relations in the new century and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields of the economy. In July 2006，the first cross-border oil pipeline between China and Kazakhstan had been put into commercial operation after which oil volume has increased year by year.
