AbstractInordertomeettherequirementofmicrowavecomponentsforminiaturization, integrationandmodularization,lowtemperatureco-firedceramics(LTCC) technologyprovidesagoodsolution.Inthispaper,microwavedielectricceramic systemsofBa4MgTi11O27andBa4ZnTi11O27wereselectedastheresearchobjects.A serialofLTCCmicrowavedielectricceramicswithhavinghighperformanceanda goodchemicalcompatibilitywithAgelectrodehavebeenobtainedthroughadding amount ofsintering aids. Finally, the sinteringmechanism has been discussed.H3BO3andB2O3-CuO(BCu)wereaddedtoBa4MgTi11O27ceramics,andthe effectsofH3BO3andBCudoping onthesintering,structure,andmicrowavedielectric propertieshavebeeninvestigated.AsmallamountofH3BO3additionto Ba4MgTi11O27ceramicscanreducethesinteringtemperature from1275oCto1050oC. Thetemperaturecoefficientofresonantfrequencycouldbeeffectivelyimproved.4 wt%H3BO3addedBa4MgTi11O27ceramiccandensifiedat1050oCandexhibitsan excellentcombinationofmicrowavedielectricpropertieswithaεrof31.97,ahigh Q?fof9600GHz,andalowτfof12.3ppm/oC.AsmallamountofBCuadditioncan reducethesinteringtemperatureofBa4MgTi11O27ceramicsfrom1275oCto950oC. Thetemperaturecoefficientofresonantfrequencycouldalsobeeffectivelyimproved. 6wt%BCuaddedBa4MgTi11O27ceramiccandensifiedat950oCandexhibitsan excellentcombinationofmicrowavedielectricpropertieswithaεrof33.12,ahigh Q?fof11226GHz,andalowτfof2.66ppm/oC.Moreover,BCuaddedceramics have a good chemical compatibility with Ag electrodes, which indicates thesematerials might beattractive promisingcandidatesforLTCC application.ZnO-B2O3(ZnB)glassisaddedtoBa4ZnTi11O27ceramics,andtheeffectsof ZnBadditiononthephasestructureandmicrowavedielectricpropertieshavebeen investigated.AsmallamountofZnBglassadditioncanreducethesintering temperatureofBa4ZnTi11O27ceramicsfrom1175oCto950oC.Thetemperature coefficientofresonantfrequencycouldbeeffectivelyimproved.4wt%ZnBglass added Ba4ZnTi11O27 ceramic can densified at 950oC and exhibits an excellentcombinationofmicrowavedielectricpropertieswithaεrof 36.2
